FreeTextForge is built on a fundamental principle: your text stays on your device. All text processing happens locally in your browser using JavaScript. We never upload, transmit, store, or access any text you enter into our tools.
2. What We Don't Collect
We do NOT collect any text, documents, or content you process using our tools. We do NOT collect passwords used in our encryption tool. We do NOT use cookies to track your behavior across other websites. We do NOT sell any data to third parties.
3. What We Do Collect
We collect minimal, non-personal data to improve our service: aggregate tool usage counts (anonymous counters with no connection to individual users), standard web server logs (IP addresses, browser type, pages visited), and contact form data if you voluntarily contact us.
4. Local Storage
Some tools use your browser's localStorage to save preferences and data locally on your device. This data never leaves your browser and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
5. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party advertising services (such as Google AdSense) which may use cookies for ad personalization. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your browser settings or at Google Ad Settings.
6. Data Security
Since we don't collect your text data, there's nothing to breach. Our Text Encrypt tool uses AES-256-GCM encryption processed entirely in your browser via the Web Crypto API.
